UK maintains position on UPC
Having ratified the UPC Agreement in April 2018, the UK Government published a White Paper in July 2018 that sets out proposals for the UK/EU relationship post-Brexit. The White Paper reaffirms that the UK "intends to explore staying in the [UPC]" after Brexit. Further, in its "no deal" planning guidance from September 2018, the UK Government committed to exploring whether the UK could remain in the UPC, even in a "no deal" scenario.
